HAVANA — Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves Robles expressed his willingness to strengthen multifaceted cooperation between Costa Rica and Việt Nam, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, education, and environment.

While receiving credentials presented by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba and Costa Rica Lê Quang Long at the Costa Rican Presidential Palace, President Rodrigo Chaves expressed his special affection for Việt Nam and congratulated the country on its significant socio-economic achievements in recent years. He visited Việt Nam several times when he worked at the World Bank (WB).

President Rodrigo Chaves also expressed his deep admiration for Việt Nam's resilient struggle, self-reliance, and proud achievements the country has made in its process of national construction and development. On this occasion, the President thanked Việt Nam for supporting Costa Rica's interest in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

For his part, Long felt honoured to take on this important role and conveyed greetings from President Lương Cường, and his invitation to President Rodrigo Chaves to visit Việt Nam at a convenient time.

The Ambassador said he appreciated the visit of Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Trade Manuel Tovar to Việt Nam in August 2024 and thanked Costa Rica for recognising Việt Nam as a market economy.

He noted that Việt Nam and Costa Rica have significant potential for cooperation in areas such as agriculture, tourism, consumer goods manufacturing, and software industry, and urged Costa Rican authorities to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese investors. — VNS

Thực tế khó khăn mà Jaguar Land Rover gặp phải không đến từ việc thiếu khách hàng khi họ có đơn đặt hàng kỷ lục tới 215.000 chiếc, mà là hạn chế cung ứng sản phẩm tới thị trường. 
 
Tuy nhiên, trong năm mới 2023, hãng xe Anh quốc vẫn còn phải đối mặt với nhiều thách thức lớn, đặc biệt là trong vấn đề chiến lược phát triển xe điện giữa bối cảnh nhân sự trụ cột có nhiều biến động.
 
Thierry Bollore, người đã lãnh đạo hãng trong vòng chưa đầy 2 năm, đã tuyên bố rời vị trí từ tháng 11 năm ngoái. Hiện nay, công việc đang được tiếp quản tạm thời trong tay Adrian Mardell.
 

Để đối mặt với thách thức mới, Jaguar Land Rover cũng vừa công bố kế hoạch bắt đầu sản xuất các mẫu Jaguar điện từ năm 2025 cùng với các mẫu Range Rover tại nhà máy Solihull.

Song, giới quan sát và cả chủ đầu tư vẫn khá thận trọng đối với tuyên bố tăng trưởng dương của hãng xe sang Anh quốc.
 
Giám đốc tài chính của Tata Motors, công ty sở hữu của JLR từ 2008 – Balaji cho biết, ông “lạc quan một cách thận trọng” vì vẫn còn thiếu nguồn cung cấp chất bán dẫn cho nhà sản xuất xe Anh. 
 
Dẫu sao thì, doanh số bán sỉ của Jaguar Land Rover trong quý ba đã tăng 15% so với một năm trước đó, lên mức 79.591 xe, chủ yếu là sản phẩm Range Rover, đưa về cho công ty mẹ Tata Motors khoản lợi nhuận ròng 363 triệu đô la so với báo lỗ gần 200 triệu đô la trong quý 3 của năm trước đó. 
 
Tata cũng thông báo đang lên kế hoạch để “bơm” 2,2 tỷ đô la tiếp theo vào mảng kinh doanh xe điện cho JLR trong vòng 5 năm tới với nhiều bức tranh tài chính lạc quan và tích cực.
